We are a private family business dedicated to both
assisting in the preservation of one of the world's last remaining pristine
wilderness areas, the Wet Tropics World Heritage area of far north (tropical)
Queensland, & to providing safe, quality & personal experiences for visitors
to this vast area & beyond.
We are a small local team providing the very best sustainable tourism
experiences to our region. Wherever possible only local resources are used
with profits being reinvested into the immediate area. We have a particular
passion for wildlife, the protection of its habitat & the provision of natural
experiences to visitors. With a particular passion for our natural environment
comes great knowledge & expertise & our Guides deliver the very best
interpretation & give access to areas restricted to those with superior
ecological care & skills. Our clientele varies from those simply seeking a fun
natural experience away-from-the-madding-crowd to those seeking authoritative
flora & fauna spotting, identification & interpretation.
Our offering comes by way of scheduled day & multi-day tours & private
charters for VIPs & study groups. If you cannot see something here which fits
your needs/dreams please contact us as we have a private collection of
experiences which we call on from time-to-time.
The Wet Tropics World Heritage area of far north Queensland is over 2 million
acres of the world's oldest continually surviving Rainforest straddling the
Gt. Dividing Range from Cooktown to Townsville with Cairns "in the middle". It
houses some of the world's rarest flora & fauna some of which is found nowhere
else. It is a vast area & our many years experience of leading visitors to the
very best spots, not just the over trodden tourist routes, enables us to both
give the very best general experiences & target species spot where required.
Many pass through the region either unguided or poorly guided & therefore
simply miss many of its stunning features - also Rainforests sleep during the
day & are awake by night which is why much of our offering encompasses a
nocturnal element!
On the inland side (western face of the Gt. Dividing Range) of this World
Heritage area lies the edge of Cape York Savanna Outback, equally remote &
pristine. This special ecotone provides great diversity, additional habitats &
"easy access" to Outback lifestyle experiences. Our area of operation extends
to this equally interesting place & in a like manner we offer "different"
personal experiences.
