All of our tours get away from the madding crowds & are limited to 6 or 10 guests but for those who really wish to escape we offer single or multi day private charters. Impromptu to suit the day or based on one of our tours we have exclusive access to huge tracts of pristine areas enabling the ultimate reef, rainforest & outback experiences.
Whilst larger groups are catered for these themes are specifically aimed at group sizes of 2 to 6 guests for our 4WD vehicles & 6 to 10 guests in our minibuses. They are for those wishing to tour in intimate groups well away from mainstream tourism experiencing real Australia & led by a Guide highly knowledgeable & experienced in his/her field rather than a bus driver with the right buzz words.
Bush walking - within a couple of hours drive from Cairns (Qld) one can experience coastal to high altitude (1,000m+) rainforest to dry outback savannahland. Very small pockets of this area are frequented by mass tourism leaving huge tracts relatively unvisited. Our Guides are trained to choose areas to suit client's needs & abilities & to safely navigate wilderness areas. Locations to be visited will be chosen to suit guests' levels of fitness & hiking skills - from a quiet amble to an all-in trek!
Sight-seeing - using our knowledge, permits for State Forests & National Parks & permission to access various tracts of private land we are able to take guests off-the-beaten track to sample & enjoy vast "empty" areas & stunning scenery. Tropical North Queensland is vast & to the inexperienced difficult to navigate & find the area's best rainforest, outback, bush & views so let the experts Guide you to seeing the very best.
Birding & wildlife - most of Australia's wildlife is nocturnal & the lushness & varied habitats of the Wet Tropics draws a huge percentage of Australia's birds. For Birders our Guides are well experienced at both filling the score card & target species spotting for even the most elusive. By night our Wait-a-while Guides have a 20 year reputation of offering the very best opportunities in spotting our unique wildlife.
